As the mother of Justin Bieber, Pattie Mallette is often seen on the red carpet but it is what happened in her earlier life that causes many people to truly think about the person she is. As a teenager, she had to survive unspeakable abuse.<\/p>\n
Eventually, she would get pregnant and there was a lot of pressure for her to abort the baby. She decided to keep the child, however, despite what others thought and that child grew up to be Justin Bieber.<\/p>\n
Mallette struggled through se xual abuse for many years. She spoke about it in her memoir, Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber\u2019s Mom, revealing that the abuse left her with self-blame and feelings of shame.<\/p>\n
