Margaret opened the front door just enough to glare at us, clearly irritated that someone had interrupted her morning. The moment she saw me standing beside my lawyer and two police officers, her confident expression quickly turned into confusion. My attorney calmly stepped forward and introduced himself. Without raising his voice, he explained that the house legally belonged to me and that Margaret was living there without my permission. The officers were present only to ensure that everything remained peaceful.
