Joshua McDowell, 22, was last seen at around 5:30 p.m. on January 16 in the 700 block of Monte Lane in the Covington neighborhood of Monte Casino, Covington police announced in a release. He was seen walking around Benton Road in the days leading up to his disappearance.
“Joshua struggles with mental illness and is believed to be a danger to himself,” the release read.
McDowell reportedly did not have access to a vehicle, and his phone was still pinging within the Monte Casino neighborhood as of the initial release of the alert.Covington police announced on 11:30 a.m. on Sunday that McDowell was found deceased in a “wooded area near the Monte Casino neighborhood.”
