By the next morning, emergency custody of Sophie was granted to Aaron while the investigation moved forward.

In the months that followed, Sophie slowly healed with medical care and therapy, learning to speak openly about fears she had been forced to keep silent. The court reviewed medical reports, photographs, and the evidence Aaron had discovered, ultimately granting him full custody and placing strict restrictions where they were needed. Life gradually settled into something calmer, and one bright afternoon Aaron watched Sophie running across a playground, laughing freely without the shadow of pain.
