I CAME HOME EARLY AND FOUND MY WIFE STARVING WHILE MY DAUGHTER SPENT MY MONEY ONLINE

On the third night, Mia threw a champagne-filled party in our living room while Elena rested upstairs recovering from another doctor visit. Music shook the walls as I stood silently at the staircase watching strangers drink, laugh, and celebrate inside the house my wife had nearly starved inside. Then Mia raised a glass and proudly announced that I would never do anything because I cared too much about appearances. Brent kissed her temple and joked that Elena would probably be in assisted living by Christmas so they could sell the house afterward. The entire room laughed.

Then I walked downstairs holding nothing but a glass of water. The party went silent instantly. Mia forced a smile and asked if I wanted a drink. When I opened the front door, our attorney entered first carrying a leather folder. Two police officers followed behind her, along with Elena’s doctor, our accountant, and Mrs. Alvarez—the former housekeeper Mia had fired to keep Elena isolated. Panic spread across Mia’s face as my attorney calmly explained that we had evidence of theft, forgery, financial exploitation, stolen property, and deliberate abuse of a medically vulnerable woman.
