THEY THOUGHT I WAS TRAPPED UNTIL THE FRONT DOOR OPENED AND EVERYTHING CHANGED

Evelyn tried controlling the conversation, but I finally stepped forward and revealed the truth. I told them I was a forensic accountant and had spent months tracking forged signatures, hidden credit lines, and fraudulent transfers connected to Evelyn. Daniel admitted he already knew about the forged credit line she had secretly opened in his name.

Before anyone could recover, red and blue police lights flashed through the curtains. I calmly explained that I had pressed send on my emergency report before Evelyn slapped me. For the first time all night, nobody had anything clever left to say.

Police officers entered alongside attorney Rachel Kim, carrying folders filled with evidence—recordings, bank records, threatening messages, forged documents, and security footage from that very evening. Marissa went pale as Rachel revealed proof she had illegally helped Evelyn access our financial records.
