A Homeless Man Helped Me Change a Flat Tire on Route 9 Where My Son Disappeared 20 Years Ago –

I immediately called the retired sheriff who had once led the search for Daniel. He had since become mayor, but the moment he saw the photo, his face turned pale.

He asked where I got it and warned me not to visit the address alone. According to him, the property belonged to the niece of Roy, a maintenance worker who had been questioned years earlier.

The sheriff admitted that Roy had claimed to know nothing about Daniel’s disappearance. If the photograph truly came from him, then an important clue had been overlooked long ago.

Ignoring the warning, I got back on the road. The address led me to a small, ordinary house with toys scattered across the yard, wind chimes hanging from the porch, and a truck parked quietly in the driveway. Whatever answers waited there, they had been hidden for far too long
