A $12 Purchase Turned Into an Unexpected Grand Prize..

After ordering two inexpensive picture frames for just $12, the customer was shocked when three large air conditioners arrived instead. Assuming it was a shipping mistake, they immediately contacted customer service, reported the error, and even asked the company to arrange a pickup for the unexpected delivery.

Months passed without anyone collecting the air conditioners or explaining what had happened. Then an email from a law firm arrived, leaving the customer worried they might be facing legal trouble over the mistaken shipment.

Instead, the law firm revealed that the delivery had been intentional. The customer’s frame purchase had become the company’s one-millionth online order, making them the winner of a special grand prize. However, the giveaway team had never informed customer service, so the representative mistakenly believed the air conditioners had been shipped in error.

The letter reassured the customer that they had done nothing wrong and officially confirmed the prize was theirs to keep. The company even joked that they had become the only winner in its history to report their own grand prize as a shipping mistake and try to return it.
