A powerful storm swept across parts of the United States on Tuesday, bringing intense weather and large chunks of ice crashing down from the sky. Residents were caught off guard as dark clouds quickly developed and strong winds pushed the storm across the area.
The hail damaged cars, roofs, windows, and other property in some locations. Some hailstones reached about 1.75 inches (4.4 cm) in diameter, which is roughly golf-ball sized.
