Six lives were saved in minutes, until… See more

A calm day along the coast of Alexandria, Egypt, turned into an urgent crisis when sudden, powerful currents swept multiple struggling swimmers far out into deep water. Watching people in mortal danger, a brave 18-year-old rushed into the turbulent sea without hesitation, swimming back and forth to battle the overwhelming waves and pull six individuals safely to shore.

Tragically, after completing his sixth and final rescue, physical exhaustion from fighting the unforgiving tides took hold, leaving him unable to make it back to dry land.

He gave his life so that six others could live, and across Egypt and beyond, people are now mourning and honoring the ultimate sacrifice of this young hero, **Ziad Mohamed Ahmed Mahmoud**.
