They wedge a plastic bottle between the front passenger-side tire and the wheel well of a parked vehicle.When the driver starts moving, the bottle crushes against the tire and makes a loud popping sound. Thinking something is wrong with their car, most drivers pull over to investigate the noise.Drivers often step out in a hurry, leaving the engine running or the doors unlocked.
