Keep a Class K fire extinguisher accessible but away from the stove.
Never use water on a grease fire; cover a small pan fire with a metal lid if safe.
Check your extinguisher regularly and remember PASS: Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep.
If the fire grows or your escape route is blocked, evacuate immediately and call emergency services.
