At work, I had several moments where I was sure I’d ruined everything—from snapping at my boss over having to pay for a tampon, accidentally sending a messy report to leadership, being called to HR after a stressful moment, replying-all to complain about a confusing project, and thinking I’d offended a coworker—but each situation turned out completely differently: my boss responded by stocking free pads and tampons, helped fix my report and presented it as a team effort, HR checked on me because a coworker was concerned, the project lead agreed the process was confusing and asked for ideas to improve it, and my coworker actually liked my idea and wanted to present it with me; in every case, I had assumed the worst, only to discover that people were more understanding and supportive than I expected.READ MORE BELOW
