After two years as an admin handling scheduling, inboxes, and day-to-day operations, my boss suddenly asked me to redesign a logo because he’d heard I could do design work. I explained that design wasn’t part of my role, but afterward he began criticizing my work, calling me “dead weight” in front of the team and claiming my attitude would hurt the company culture.
