I accidentally left my receipt at the self-checkout, and a woman quickly handed it back, saying, “You dropped this.” When I got home, I noticed a handwritten message on the back: “Check your tires. Someone slashed mine in this parking lot.” I rushed outside and discovered that one of my tires had been slashed too. I called the police, who told me there had been several similar incidents in the area.
