In Shiner, Texas, a father heard his 5-year-old daughter screaming and found a 47-year-old man assaulting her behind a barn. He intervened and seriously injured the man while pulling him away, then immediately called 911 himself and pleaded for medical help. Authorities investigated the incident, and according to prosecutors, the girl’s examination, forensic evidence, and witness statements supported the father’s account.
