Why Do Some Refrigerators Come With a Hole?

That small foam-filled hole on a refrigerator is a factory injection port used to fill the cabinet walls with insulating foam.It is completely normal and is not a defect, leak, or missing part. The foam provides insulation, while tape or a cap may protect it from moisture and keep the opening sealed.
If the tape is missing, it can be replaced with foil tape, but otherwise the plug should simply be left alone.
