My wife noticed a strange blinking light coming from the smoke detector in our Airbnb. Feeling suspicious, I carefully unscrewed it and discovered a small device hidden inside. Convinced we had found a secret camera, we panicked, packed our belongings, and immediately left the property. I then wrote a review warning other guests about the hidden camera. Just a few minutes later, the host replied with a shocking message: “You fool, that’s a motion detector, not a camera!” Suddenly, I wondered if we had just embarrassed ourselves by mistaking a security sensor for something much worse.
