When I was 10, I lost my dad, and his last gift to me was a singing teddy bear that I treasured for years. Twenty years later, when my son turned seven, I passed the bear on to him. While replacing its batteries, I discovered a hidden cassette tucked inside the compartment. When I played it, I heard my dad’s voice reading my childhood stories, sharing funny memories, and offering advice for my future. At the end, he explained that he wanted my future children to hear his voice and feel as though they had met their grandfather. I did exactly that, and now the cassette is one of our most precious family treasures. Neither my mom nor I had ever known it was there. A beautiful message of love that had waited 20 years to be heard.
