“Babe, from now on, we should keep our money separate. I’m tired of supporting you.” David said it so confidently that I almost laughed. I was chopping cilantro for dinner and didn’t even stop what I was doing.
“Works for me,” I replied.
He blinked. “Works for you?”
“Yes. Separate finances sound fair.” He looked disappointed that I wasn’t arguing. What he didn’t know was that I had already started keeping track of every dollar I spent.
